    When this tool helps

Matching a poster's palette, keeping a product page consistent with the product photo, or simply pulling an exact value out of a screenshot all involve the same friction: open an editor, import the file, and shuttle between a colour panel and the canvas. Here you upload and click. Sampled colours stay in a list, so you can collect a full set in one pass, and the automatic palette gives you a quick read on the overall tone of an image.

For product pages, extract the palette from the product photo and use its most distinctive colour for headings and buttons to keep the page visually consistent.

    FAQ

    Are the sampled colours accurate?

They are read straight from the image pixels with no smoothing or approximation, so what you click is exactly what you get. The image is handled at full resolution, so display scaling does not affect accuracy.

Why does the palette not match my impression of the image?

Dominant colours are counted by pixel frequency and similarity, so large backgrounds and gradients dominate. For subject colours, sample by hand instead.

    Does it support transparent PNGs?

Yes. Near-transparent pixels are excluded from the palette rather than being counted as black or white.

How do I copy a value?

Click any swatch to copy its HEX value, and a confirmation appears. If your browser blocks clipboard access, you can still select the text manually.

    Are images uploaded?

No. Sampling and analysis run entirely in your browser.
