Upload the front and back of the card. They are placed on an A4 sheet at true size (85.6mm × 54mm), ready to print as a copy.
Upload and process
Runs locallyHow to use it
- Upload the front image, then the back image — list order becomes the top-to-bottom order.
- Choose the paper orientation; A4 portrait suits a stacked layout.
- Check the preview below. If the card is small inside the photo, raise the zoom to fill the frame and fine-tune with the offset.
- Click generate PDF.
- When printing, set scale to 100% (actual size) rather than "fit to page".
When this tool helps
Forms regularly demand a photocopy of an identity card, and a trip to a print shop is an expensive way to get one. This tool lays the card out at the standard size of 85.6mm × 54mm and writes a PDF that carries accurate physical dimensions, so the printed card matches the real one and can be cut out. The stacked layout matches what print shops usually do, and A4 portrait happens to fit the card width with even margins. Everything runs locally, so an ID photograph never leaves your device.
FAQ
The printed size is wrong — why?
Almost always a print dialogue setting: choose "Actual size" or 100%, not "Fit to page" or "Shrink to fit", which typically reduces the card to about 90% of true size.
Why stack the two sides?
A4 portrait is 210mm wide and the card is 85.6mm wide, so centring leaves even margins. Stacking is the layout print shops use, and it cuts cleanly.
My photo contains a small card — what should I do?
Raise the zoom slider to fill the frame. If there is a lot of background clutter, crop the card first with the resize and crop tool, then come back for the layout.
Can I get an image instead of a PDF?
The preview below shows exactly how it will look. For printing, the PDF is safer because the physical page size travels with the file.
The two photos are in the wrong order
Clear the list and select them again in the right order — the first file is placed at the top of the page.
Is this safe for identity documents?
The file is never uploaded. Loading, cropping, layout and PDF generation all happen in your browser, and there is no endpoint here that could receive it.
